MEXX opts for Wirecard

With immediate effect Wirecard AG provides payment services for online shop

Munich/Grasbrunn, January 19, 2009; the Dutch fashion company Mexx Europe B.V. has opted in favor of the package solution from Wirecard AG and Wirecard Bank AG for credit card acceptance and settlement in its online shop.

The eShop is currently available to customers in Germany, France, Belgium and the Netherlands. Mexx products are predominantly distributed via own outlets, leading department stores, independent retailers and via the company’s own eShop. The lifestyle brand with a global positioning provides a complete range of fashionable clothing as well as related products and accessories for ladies and gents, youths and children, as well as for toddlers and babies.

We found this economical solution for credit card payment processing from a single source to be quite compelling.”

“From February 2009, the cooperative venture with Mexx will extend from credit card processing in four European countries, to include processing and settlement services of the Dutch debit card iDEAL,” says Haldun Dagistan, Sales Manager Consumer Goods at Wirecard AG.

The range on offer from technology services provider Wirecard comprises individually tailored, industry- and customer-specific payment and risk management solutions, ranging from BSP in the airline sector and PoS terminal solutions in the stationary segment all the way through to fraud protection solutions for tele-shopping and Internet commerce. The services of Wirecard Bank AG complement and extend the range of products and services for business customers to include credit card acceptance agreements, banking services and innovative prepaid card products.
