German consumer association Stiftung Warentest relies on credit card payment processing solutions from Wirecard AG

Munich/Grasbrunn, November 3, 2008; Berlin-based, independent con-sumer association Stiftung Warentest relies on the payment platform pro-vided by Wirecard AG, one of the leading international providers of elec-tronic payment and risk management solutions. With immediate effect, the Munich-based technology group will handle the entire processing of credit card payments at www.test.de.

Stiftung Warentest, established in 1964, is one of the most renowned or-ganizations for independent and objective product tests. Topics range from “automobiles and transportation” to “investments and banks” and “environment and energy”. The website www.test.de contains numerous comprehensive test reports that can be accessed by consumers seeking advice in the form of downloads, books or special issues. About 900,000 Germans make use of this service each year. In addition, anyone seeking information can subscribe to the two publications “Finanztest” and “test” online. Whenever consumers purchase such consumer information by credit card, Wirecard AG will handle the related electronic payment processing with immediate effect.  Furthermore, customers who have no credit cards soon are referred to the Wirecard Internet payment service (www.mywirecard.com), enabling them to make purchases with a virtual MasterCard on a prepaid basis.

Wirecard AG’s services encompass the entire processing of credit card-based payment transactions, including acquiring activities.
In doing so, Stiftung Warentest will also benefit from various reporting and statistical functions that can be accessed via a secure Internet login at the push of a button.
